Overview
Jazz and world music have rediscovered for our culture what is in fact at the heart of all music making: expressing and communicating our own humanity in terms of music, developing and exchanging creativity with others.
The project is a one-week study and experience course to be held during the holiday period. It addresses musicians of all ages and abilities who would like to acquire, develop and improve their musical improvisation skills.
The course offers advanced training on the instrument and possibility to gain practical musical communication experience in small "band" projects under the supervision of first-class tutorial staff in a relaxed informal athmosphere.
Every morning from 10 a.m. - 12.30 p.m. instrumental tuition will be held in small groups. In the afternoons between 4 and 6.30 p.m. the participants will form up in combos under professional supervision. Working groups, talks, lectures in jazz harmony, rhythm and "pulse, Blues etc. will be offered open to all students. In the evenings, public concerts and jam sessions with tutors and participants will be organized.
In a public final concert on Friday, 18 participants and tutors will share the stage.
